Cavalleria Life "Experiencing God's Fine Art"
I was beyong blessed to acquire the property that is now known in Waxhaw Horse Country as Cavalleria Rusticana in January 2012, from the very kind and generous Costello family. Mr. and Mrs. John Costello resided on the property with their dogs until their passings of at which time their children began the search towards finding the right family for this unique and beautiful piece of Heaven. A mutual friend knew of my search for a new farm, connected us with Costello’s and here I am today.
Cavalleria is made up of 17 lush acres of gentle sloping green pastures and woodlands in Waxhaw Horse Country. A large, free flowing creek makes up the rear perimeter of the property, which is nestled 1/2 mile from the main road. No traffic, no vehicles, just peace, tranquility, and the sounds of nature. Cavalleria’s pond is stocked with bass, brim, cat fish, crappie, and turtles can be spotted during the season. It is not uncommon to awaken to wild ducks, deer, owls, hawks, egrets, and great blue herons on their daily tours around the property.
Cavalleria has a perimeter riding trail that runs 3/4 of a mile along the entire 17 acre perimeter of the property with access to approximately 100 surrounding acres of neighboring fields and woodlands of which we enjoy.
My daughter and I live on the farm and love bon fires, pond-side and poolside meals, swimming in the summer, riding, walking, hiking, fishing, and other activities all right here at home.
Cavalleria is a true labor of love. From working on constructing the design of a full remodel of the barn and its living quarters, to clearing acre upon acre to construct new pasture, to building a new arena from the ground up, and our future pool house/guest house, we are completely invested in cultivating our property towards enhancing its beauty and for our animals, guests of Cavalleria, and for us to enjoy.
